6-Star Review Our 16 person family spent Thanksgiving at this extraordinary property, and it exceeded every expectation.The kitchen is a chef's dream—well-appointed with everything needed to craft a feast. The beds were incredibly comfortable, with luxurious linens and thoughtful amenities that made us feel utterly pampered. Every corner of this estate reflects impeccable quality and design, blending historic charm with modern elegance. The third-floor space is breathtaking, the parlor charming, the ensuites perfection. an ideal setting for a grand yet intimate occasion, full of light and character. The rich history of the property added a special depth to our stay. Knowing this was once a haven for Dr. Charles Everett and his Presidential companions made the experience even more meaningful. This place isn’t just a rental—it’s an experience. We left grateful for every moment and can’t wait to return!
My husband and I went for the weekend for our nephews wedding. The place is beautiful with amazing scenery! The estate is nicely decorated with great decor. Rooms are spacious. The place is very clean. The grounds are beautiful with several places to sit outside including comfortable chairs around the fire pits. We had a great weekend and staying at Everett estate made it great as well.
Our family stayed at Everett Estate from December 20–23, 2025, and it was truly the perfect place for an incredibly meaningful time in our lives. We were together preparing for and hosting our mother’s Celebration of Life on December 22, and the estate provided exactly what we needed—space, comfort, and peace. The home allowed us to gather each evening for healing dinners, sharing stories and memories of our mom. There was plenty of room for everyone, and the atmosphere felt warm, calm, and welcoming throughout our stay. The space worked beautifully for the Celebration of Life itself. Friends were able to visit and spend time with us in a setting that felt private, peaceful, and deeply comforting. Everything flowed seamlessly, and the surroundings truly enhanced the experience. Everett Estate will always hold a special place in our hearts. It was more than a place to stay—it was a space that supported connection, remembrance, and healing during a very important moment for our family. We are deeply grateful.
We rented four junior suites for a surprise family party in February 2024. The inn is beautifully decorated in a very current style and nicely appointed with luxurious linens and in-room amenities including a personal Keurig for morning coffee before you are ready to greet the other guests. We visited during the week and had the entire estate to ourselves. A Continental breakfast in the morning was perfect for our needs and we enjoyed a cocktail hour in the lounge before dinner one evening. The Everett Estate was the perfect balance of privacy for couples but also space for group gatherings. We will definitely return for a fall wine tasting trip!
Everett Estate was wonderful! We recently spent the weekend and this old home is a classic beauty. Service was amazing- Becky & Gabby thought of everything down to late night snacks and great ideas for day trips or spots to visit. Rooms were beautiful- we slept in #8 and the bed was amazingly comfortable. I’d highly recommend this place for the overall value and proximity to Wintergreen and Charlottesville. Also prepare to be blown away by the gorgeous interior design and attention to detail! We can’t wait to go back!
The Everett Estate is absolutely stunning; it was the perfect place for us to celebrate our one year wedding anniversary! The views, the decor, the amenities…we couldn’t have asked for or dreamed up a better experience! Staff were responsive, furniture was beautiful and comfortable, bathrooms were immaculate, and the fire pits were cozy and romantic. We will absolutely be back!
Wow! This beautiful hotel is a hidden gem, in view of Wintergreen Skiing and the gorgeous countryside and wineries landscaping the Charlottesville area. The design inside this historic hotel, where Jefferson used to stay, is exquisite! The vibe is abstract, yet each piece compliments the other way that is fun and welcoming. The amenities were above and beyond to make you feel valued and right at home. Becky and Gabby were so sweet and quick with communication. The bed was big and comfy and the house was quiet even with guests staying in other rooms. There were snacks and breakfast provided as well as tea and coffee. We enjoyed the games downstairs and each room of the common space as they are amazingly decorated. I was literally so impressed with everything about this place!! 10/10 We will definitely be back! :)
We were lucky enough to find this place for a last minute getaway. Beautifully decorated historic building with a lot of antique features left in place. The property is spacious with a great view. There were complimentary toiletries available as well as coffee and breakfast items. We sat out by the gas fire pits at night and enjoyed a starry sky. We would absolutely go back, possibly for a family gathering. We were told if you rent out the whole house for an event, the commercial kitchen is available to you. The only kitchen area otherwise is a refrigerator and microwave.
